RIYADH, July 15, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Saudia will launch direct flights between Riyadh and Tokyo in November 2026, adding Japan to the national carrier’s expanding international network.

The new route will operate three times per week from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.

Tickets are now available through Saudia’s digital platforms and authorized sales outlets.

The service is being launched in collaboration with the Air Connectivity Program and Saudi Tourism Authority.

The direct connection is expected to support tourism, trade, business and investment flows between Saudi Arabia and Japan while expanding access to the Kingdom for Japanese visitors.

The Saudi Tourism Authority is working with travel companies and tourism agencies in Japan to develop packages and promote Saudi destinations ahead of the route’s launch.

The service also supports the National Aviation Strategy, National Tourism Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to develop the Kingdom as a global tourism destination and logistics hub connecting four continents.

Saudia currently operates flights to more than 100 destinations with a fleet of 153 aircraft.

The airline plans to add 112 new aircraft as part of a major fleet expansion program intended to increase capacity and support further international growth.
