Mleiha National Park Shortlisted for Middle East Travel Award

SHARJAH, July 16, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Mleiha National Park has been shortlisted for the “Middle East’s Leading National Park 2026” title at the 33rd World Travel Awards.
The Sharjah destination is competing against four other protected national parks from across the Middle East and is the only UAE representative in the category.
Mleiha is located within the core area of the Al Faya Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its archaeological significance.
The park combines archaeological heritage and nature conservation with educational programs, ecotourism and outdoor activities.
Its nomination recognizes Mleiha’s development as a regional destination for heritage preservation and sustainable tourism within one of the Arabian Peninsula’s important archaeological environments.
Voting for the World Travel Awards category remains open until July 31
