ZATCA Urges Excise Taxpayers to File July–August Returns by September 15

Riyadh, September 10, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on establishments subject to excise tax to file their returns for July and August no later than September 15.
In a statement, the authority urged taxpayers to submit returns promptly through its website, zatca.gov.sa, to avoid financial penalties. A fine of 5% of the unpaid tax will be applied for each 30-day period following the due date.
Excise tax in the Kingdom is applied at varying rates to products considered harmful to public health or the environment, including soft drinks, energy drinks, sweetened beverages, and tobacco.
