Riyadh, October 21 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on business establishments subject to value-added tax (VAT) to submit their September and third-quarter 2025 returns before the October 31 deadline, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

According to the authority, businesses with annual supplies exceeding SAR40 million must file their September VAT returns, while those below that threshold are required to submit their third-quarter returns by the same date.

ZATCA urged all taxpayers to file promptly through its website zatca.gov.sa or the official smartphone app to avoid penalties for late submission, which range from 5% to 25% of the tax due.

The authority encouraged taxpayers seeking further information to contact its 24-hour call center (19993), reach out via X (@Zatca_Care), email info@zatca.gov.sa, or use the live chat service on its website.

Value-added tax is one of the indirect tax systems applied in the Kingdom, covering most goods and services bought and sold by businesses, with certain exemptions.
