RIYADH, July 21, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority urged businesses subject to value-added tax to submit their VAT returns by July 31, 2026.
Establishments with annual revenues from goods and services exceeding SAR40 million must file their returns for June 2026.
Businesses with revenues of SAR40 million or less are required to submit their VAT returns for the second quarter of 2026.
ZATCA called on establishments to file through its mobile application before the deadline to avoid late-filing penalties.
Failure to submit a return within the specified period may result in a fine ranging from 5% to 25% of the tax required to be declared.
The authority said businesses seeking further information can contact its 24-hour call centre on 19993, reach its customer support account on X at @Zatca_Care, email info@zatca.gov.sa or use the live-chat service available through its website.
VAT is an indirect tax applied to most goods and services purchased and sold by businesses in Saudi Arabia, subject to specified exceptions.
