Dubai, Sept 1 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA) at the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has launched the Dock & Dine initiative to enhance short-stay yachting visits and strengthen the city’s position as a global yachting hub.
Covering 20 marinas and marine stations across Dubai, Dock & Dine is the region’s most comprehensive marina dining program and supports the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, aimed at consolidating the city’s role as a global business and leisure destination.
The initiative enables yacht owners, crews, and guests to dock for short stays while accessing curated waterfront dining, luxury hotels, cultural attractions, and entertainment venues within a 45-minute to one-hour radius. Benefits include free moorage at participating marinas, rapid booking response times, direct restaurant communication, and dedicated dock tenders for smooth drop-off and pick-up.
Sheikh Dr. Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, CEO of the Dubai Maritime Authority, said: “The Dock & Dine initiative represents the forward-thinking approach that has defined Dubai’s maritime development. With strong guidance from our leadership and cooperation between government and industry partners, we have harmonised marina regulations and enhanced operational processes across the board.”
Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, part of DET, said: “This initiative marks a pivotal moment in Dubai’s maritime journey and enriches the value proposition that positions Dubai as the ideal base for international yacht tourism.”
The Dock & Dine program complements Dubai’s growing gastronomy sector, recently highlighted by the MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2025, which features 119 restaurants. The initiative also leverages Dubai’s extensive marina infrastructure of more than 4,000 berths, advanced services, and simplified entry procedures, enabling foreign-flagged vessels to remain in Dubai waters for up to six months.
Participating marinas include Al Seef Marina, Bulgari Marina, Dubai Marina Yacht Club, Dubai Harbour Marinas, Jebel Ali Marina, Mina Rashid Marina, Marasi Bay Marina, Palm Jumeirah Marina, Port De La Mer Marina, and others.
