Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan Respond to Aerial Threats as Iran Announces Regional Strikes

RIYADH, July 13, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan responded to aerial threats early Monday after Iran announced a new series of strikes across the region in retaliation for US attacks on Iranian territory.

Warning sirens were activated in Bahrain, while Kuwait’s military said it was responding to “hostile aerial targets.”

Jordan’s armed forces intercepted four missiles launched from Iran, according to the country’s military. All three countries also reported aerial attacks on Sunday.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its air force had struck Bahrain’s Isa Air Base, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.

The facility does not host a permanent US military presence but receives periodic rotations of American personnel.

The IRGC also claimed that bases supporting US operations in Kuwait had been struck. It said a missile base was set on fire and that missile launchers and ammunition depots were destroyed.

In Jordan, the IRGC said it targeted large missile depots and fuel storage facilities at Prince Hassan Air Base, according to a statement carried by Fars early Monday.

The Iranian claims regarding damage to the military facilities have not been independently verified.
