RIYADH, July 13, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Saudi Arabia intercepted ballistic missiles launched by Yemen’s Houthi movement toward the Kingdom’s southern region on Monday, according to the Saudi-led military coalition.
Saudi air defences “have dealt with a threat from ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthi militia toward the southern region,” coalition spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Maliki said on X.
The launch followed accusations by the Iran-aligned group that Saudi Arabia had struck an airport under its control in Yemen.
The exchange represents a new test for the years-long truce between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis.
