RIYADH, Aug. 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) urged businesses subject to withholding tax to submit their July 2026 withholding tax returns by Aug. 10, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The authority said businesses should submit their returns through ZATCA’s website to avoid late-payment penalties.
Under the regulations, a penalty of 1% of the unpaid tax applies for every 30 days of delay after the due date.
ZATCA also encouraged taxpayers seeking information on withholding tax to contact the authority through its unified call center, X account, email or live chat service.
Withholding tax applies to payments made from a source in Saudi Arabia to non-resident entities that do not have a permanent establishment in the Kingdom, in accordance with the Income Tax Law and its implementing regulations.
