Qatar Condemns Houthi Missile Attacks on Riyadh, Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia
DOHA, November 8, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Qatar condemned Houthi missile attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, including the reported launch of two ballistic missiles towards Riyadh, and reaffirmed its support for the Kingdom's sovereignty and security, according to a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
The ministry described the continued attacks on Saudi territory as acts of aggression that endangered civilians, violated the Kingdom's sovereignty and breached international law.
Doha called for an immediate end to attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure, reiterating its opposition to actions that threaten civilian safety.
Qatar also pledged support for legitimate measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its territory, national security and interests.
The ministry emphasised that Saudi Arabia's security was closely linked to Qatar's own security and to the broader collective security framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which comprises six Gulf Arab states.
The statement underscored Doha's position that threats to Saudi territorial security also concern the wider Gulf region.
