Riyadh, September 7, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on businesses in Saudi Arabia subject to withholding tax to submit their August declarations no later than September 10 through its website (zatca.gov.sa), to avoid late-payment penalties, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
According to ZATCA, any delay in filing will result in a 1% fine on the unpaid tax for every 30 days beyond the deadline. Withholding tax is applied to payments originating from within the Kingdom to non-resident entities without a permanent establishment in Saudi Arabia, in line with the rates stipulated under Article 68 of the Income Tax Law and Article 63 of its Implementing Regulations.
For assistance, ZATCA advised taxpayers to reach out through its 24/7 unified call center at 19993, the @Zatca_Care account on the X platform, by email at info@zatca.gov.sa, or via live chat on the official website.
