U.S. refueling aircraft goes down in western Iraq, rescue efforts underway

March 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – A U.S. military refueling aircraft went down in western Iraq while another aircraft involved in the same incident landed safely, the U.S. military said on Thursday.
U.S. Central Command said in a statement that two KC-135 refueling aircraft were involved.
One of the aircraft landed safely, while the second went down in western Iraq.
Rescue efforts were underway, the military said.
The aircraft were operating as part of the U.S. military operation against Iran, and the incident was not caused by hostile or friendly fire, according to the statement.
