Saudi non-oil exports rise 15.1% in February as re-exports surge

RIYADH, April 23 — Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports, including re-exports, rose 15.1% in February from a year earlier, driven by a sharp increase in re-export activity, according to data released by the General Authority for Statistics.
Non-oil national exports excluding re-exports increased 6.3%, while re-exported goods jumped 28.5%. Machinery, electrical equipment and parts led the rise in re-exports, climbing 59.9% and accounting for 53.9% of the total.
Total merchandise exports rose 4.7% in February, while oil exports increased 0.6%. Oil’s share of total exports, however, fell to 68.7% from 71.5% a year earlier.
Imports increased 6.6% over the same period, contributing to a 1% decline in the merchandise trade surplus compared with February 2025.
China remained Saudi Arabia’s top merchandise trading partner, accounting for 13.7% of total exports and 29.8% of total imports. The United Arab Emirates followed with 12.1% of exports and 8% of imports, while Japan ranked third by export share at 9.3%.
The top 10 export destinations accounted for 67.7% of total exports, while the top 10 import origins represented 71.2% of total imports.
