RIYADH, August 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The International Falcon Breeders Auction will open on August 5 at the National Center for Falcons’ headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and continue through August 25.

Falcon shipments have begun arriving from breeding farms in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, France, Slovenia, Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Austria, the Netherlands, Romania and Ireland.

The previous auction featured 1,103 falcons from 67 breeding farms representing 23 countries, including 19 Saudi farms. Sales exceeded SAR13 million.

This year’s auction will be the first event organized by the National Center for Falcons following its restructuring by the Cabinet. The center said the event aims to develop strategic partnerships and reinforce Saudi Arabia’s position as an international center for falconry.

Preparations include pavilions for Saudi and international breeding farms, the main auction platform and exhibitors of falconry equipment. The event will bring together falconers, buyers and investors from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
