Riyadh, February 12, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi Ministry of Interior has reinforced its commitment to environmental protection and sustainability through afforestation programs, expanded green spaces, and awareness initiatives, the ministry highlighted during the World Defense Show in Riyadh.
Visitors to the ministry’s pavilion from February 8–12 were introduced to its environmental initiatives, advanced technologies, and monitoring capabilities aimed at safeguarding natural resources and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Established in 2019, the Special Forces for Environmental Security operate from 54 headquarters and centers across six administrative regions, eight royal reserves, and four nature reserves. Utilizing drones, fixed-wing aircraft, and modern monitoring technologies, the forces support rapid response, regulatory enforcement, and ecological restoration nationwide, contributing to increased vegetation cover and ecological balance.
