Jeddah governor opens INSO 2026 with participants from 19 countries

JEDDAH, August 3 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi opened the third International Nuclear Science Olympiad, bringing together about 120 students and science specialists from 19 countries.
The opening was held under the patronage of Makkah Region Deputy Governor Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz. Saudi Minister of Education Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan attended the ceremony.
King Abdulaziz University is hosting the competition from August 2 to 9. The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, known as Mawhiba, and King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy.
INSO is an international competition for secondary school students focused on nuclear science and the safe and peaceful use of nuclear technologies.
