Saudi Arabia received more than 19.5 million overseas Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in 2025

RIYADH, August 3 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia received more than 19.5 million Hajj and Umrah pilgrims from abroad in 2025, according to the annual report of the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The total included 18.03 million Umrah pilgrims and 1.5 million Hajj pilgrims. Umrah arrivals increased by 114% compared with 2022.
Hajj pilgrim satisfaction reached 91%, while satisfaction among Umrah pilgrims stood at 94%. Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah received more than 16 million visitors, with satisfaction rising to 88% from 57% in 2022.
The Pilgrim Experience Program implemented 87 initiatives with more than 60 partner organizations and reported a 100% implementation compliance rate.
The number of visitor-ready historical sites and cultural destinations in Makkah and Madinah reached 87, recording more than 55 million visits. A total of 184,569 volunteers served pilgrims and visitors during the year.
Saudi Arabia issued 15.03 million Umrah, visit and other visas in 2025. Umrah visas represented 83% of the total, with Pakistan, Indonesia and Egypt identified as the leading countries for Umrah visa arrivals.
