Saudi Ministers Outline Key Priorities Ahead of WEF Annual Meeting 2026

Riyadh, January 18, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Members of Saudi Arabia’s delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 outlined the Kingdom’s priorities for this year’s discussions in Davos, highlighting economic cooperation, technological transformation, and sustainable development.


Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the Kingdom views the forum as a platform to strengthen international partnerships and support efforts that reinforce regional stability and global economic resilience. He said Saudi Arabia is working with international partners to advance sustainable development and improve institutional capacity as economies adapt to rapid global shifts.


Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim said the Kingdom’s participation reflects its growing role in shaping the global economic agenda. He noted that Saudi Arabia’s diversification strategy has expanded the productive base of the economy, with most non-oil sectors recording steady growth in recent years. Alibrahim said the meeting offers an opportunity to advance cooperation on digital solutions, human capital investment, and economic integration.


Finance Minister Mohammed Aljadaan said discussions at Davos will focus on major global challenges, including sustainable growth, technology governance, and environmental resilience. He said the Kingdom plans to present policy approaches shaped by its experience in economic diversification, renewable energy investment, and the adoption of modern technologies, including AI.


Communications and Information Technology Minister Abdullah Alswaha said the Kingdom intends to highlight its progress in building a competitive digital economy and expanding cooperation with global technology leaders. He said Saudi Arabia is investing in advanced technologies and AI infrastructure to support innovation and economic opportunity.


Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef said the Kingdom continues to position itself as a reliable industrial and mining partner. He said meetings in Davos will focus on investment opportunities, sector partnerships, and initiatives that support local content and non-oil export growth.


Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the Kingdom will engage in discussions on tourism development, investment opportunities, and policies that support sustainable and competitive destinations. He said international cooperation in tourism contributes to job creation, community development, and improved quality of life.
