Riyadh, January 18, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia will take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 with a senior delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the government said. The meeting will be held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23.
The delegation includes Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to the United States; Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi; Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb; Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih; Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan; Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha; Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef; and Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim.
This year’s forum, held under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” comes as governments and companies navigate geopolitical tensions, rapid technological change, and emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and clean energy.
Saudi officials are expected to take part in bilateral meetings and public sessions to outline the Kingdom’s economic priorities and discuss Vision 2030, which the delegation describes as a model for long-term development and structural transformation.
Saudi House, the pavilion established by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, will return after its debut at the 2025 meeting. More than 20 sessions are planned for the 2026 edition, including over 10 accredited by WEF, covering themes such as investment, human capability, quality of life, and international collaboration. The pavilion will also introduce “NextOn,” a series of talks featuring global thought leaders.
The WEF Annual Meeting will bring together heads of state, senior government officials, business executives, and academic leaders. Representatives from more than 100 governments and major international organizations are expected to attend, alongside over 1,000 private-sector leaders.
