Saudi meteorology center forecasts thunderstorms, flash floods in parts of kingdom

RIYADH, April 30 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology forecast moderate to heavy thunderstorms, flash floods and hail in parts of Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha and Makkah regions.
The center also forecast light to moderate rain in parts of the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, Al-Jouf and the Northern Borders region.
Gusty winds raising dust are expected in parts of those areas as well as Tabuk and Madinah regions, it said.
Over the Red Sea, winds are expected to be northwesterly to westerly at 15-38 kph, with waves of 1 to 1.5 metres and relatively calm seas.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds are forecast to be northwesterly to northerly at 15-50 kph, with waves of 0.5 to more than 2 metres and seas ranging from calm to choppy.
