Saudi Industry Ministry Official Meets WEF Representative on Advanced Manufacturing Cooperation

RIYADH, December 15 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Deputy Assistant Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Competitiveness and Advanced Manufacturing Dr. Ahmed Al-Zawawi held a bilateral meeting with Kyriakos Triantafyllidis, Head of Growth and Strategy at the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains at the World Economic Forum.


The two sides discussed areas of cooperation to support the Kingdom’s industrial transformation on the sidelines of the Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition in Riyadh.


The meeting addressed global trends in advanced manufacturing technologies and mechanisms to accelerate the adoption of Fourth Industrial Revolution applications in national factories, and highlighted the importance of international partnerships to transfer modern industrial technologies and support the development of industrial value chains.


The discussions also reviewed future collaboration opportunities between the ministry and the World Economic Forum, particularly within the framework of the “Industrial Lighthouse” initiative, and ways to enhance an enabling environment for a competitive industrial sector aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Industrial Strategy.


The meeting was held during the Industrial Transformation Saudi Arabia 2025 Exhibition, organized for the first time in the region as an extension of the global Hannover Messe exhibitions and hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in cooperation with Deutsche Messe and Riyadh Exhibitions Company, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
