RIYADH, March 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi Falcons Club is set to carry out an international falcon release in Kazakhstan under its 2026 Hedad programme as part of efforts to reintroduce falcons into their natural habitats and support their stability along global migration routes.

The release is scheduled for Sunday at Altyn Emel National Park in Kazakhstan.

The site was selected based on environmental and scientific criteria, including the suitability of the natural environment, the scale of open habitats, the availability of prey and its strategic position along one of the world’s main falcon migration routes.

The release forms part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to conserve falcons and support programmes aimed at protecting endangered species.

The Hedad programme focuses on releasing saker falcons and coastal peregrine falcons into natural habitats outside the Kingdom, using a scientific methodology that includes rehabilitation, careful site selection and post-release monitoring and tracking to assess adaptation and breeding.

The programme also includes the release of mountain peregrine falcons and lanner falcons inside Saudi Arabia.
