Saudi Civil Defense showcases firefighting aircraft at World Defense Show in Riyadh

Riyadh, February 9, 2026 (SABN) – Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Civil Defense is showcasing a firefighting aircraft at the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion during the World Defense Show in Riyadh, which runs from February 8 to 12.

The aircraft is designed for direct and indirect aerial firefighting missions in challenging environments, including rugged terrain and remote areas, with a focus on reducing response times and supporting ground teams, according to the Civil Defense.

It is equipped to carry firefighting materials and features operating systems intended to maintain missions under critical conditions. The aircraft also supports aerial command and control and field coordination during firefighting operations.

The Civil Defense display forms part of the Ministry of Interior pavilion, which is presenting technology and service solutions related to decision-making, command and control, predictive intelligence and security management.
