Saudi Cabinet reviews key agreements, welcomes Trump’s Gaza peace plan

Riyadh, September 30 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the weekly Cabinet session on Tuesday in Riyadh, expressing gratitude to leaders of friendly countries for their congratulations on the Kingdom’s 95th National Day.
The Cabinet reviewed recent state activities, including the visit of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the signing of a Joint Strategic Defense Agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral defense cooperation.
The session also highlighted the Kingdom’s participation in the 80th United Nations General Assembly, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s global role in promoting peace, justice, and dialogue. Ministers noted growing international recognition of the State of Palestine and welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza, rebuild the territory, ensure unrestricted humanitarian aid, and reject the annexation of the West Bank. The Cabinet affirmed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to work with the United States on a comprehensive deal including full Israeli withdrawal, aid delivery, and the establishment of a Palestinian state on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Cabinet welcomed Saudi Arabia’s election to the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency and to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), viewing the results as recognition of the Kingdom’s constructive role in global cooperation.
Ministers also noted UNESCO’s decision to add Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve to its Man and the Biosphere Programme, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s commitment to biodiversity and sustainable development.
The Cabinet praised outcomes of the second Global Infrastructure Forum in Riyadh, where agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to advance sustainable development in infrastructure. It also reviewed the launch of 122 environment, water, and agriculture projects in the Eastern Province with a total cost exceeding SAR28.8 billion.
Further decisions included:
Authorizing the environment minister to sign an MoU with Somalia on environmental protection.
Authorizing the investment minister to sign an agreement with Morocco on investment promotion and protection.
Authorizing the education minister to negotiate a cooperation MoU with South Korea in health education, training, and research.
Approving cooperation between the Saudi Data and AI Authority and ISESCO.
Approving the Tourism Development Fund’s membership in the UN World Tourism Organization.
Licensing of Easy Bank by the finance minister.
Approving a series of promotions and appointments at the 14th and 15th civil service grades.
The Cabinet also reviewed annual reports from key national agencies, including the Electricity Regulator, the Spending Efficiency Authority, and the King Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Center, and took the necessary measures.
