Saudi Arabia Reports 97% Healthcare Coverage Across Population Centres

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, November 5 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia's healthcare network now reaches 97% of population centres across the Kingdom, supported by an expansion of medical facilities and digital health services, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The healthcare system comprises 20 health clusters, approximately 2,000 primary healthcare centres and 44,000 hospital beds distributed across the country's cities and regions.
The expansion forms part of the Health Sector Transformation Program, which aims to improve access to medical services, raise the quality of care and strengthen the efficiency of healthcare delivery.
Digital services have also expanded access to medical consultations and appointments. The Seha Virtual Hospital has served more than 365,000 patients, allowing healthcare services to reach communities beyond conventional hospital facilities.
The Sehhaty digital health platform has processed more than 30 million appointments and provided six million instant consultations. The platform currently offers 74 digital healthcare services.
Emergency care figures show that 90% of patients receive emergency or urgent medical attention within four hours, according to the reported data.
The Kingdom also has 15 intensive care beds per 100,000 people, an indicator of hospital capacity for patients requiring critical care.
The figures reflect Saudi Arabia's efforts to expand healthcare infrastructure and integrate digital medical services into its national health system under the Kingdom's healthcare transformation strategy.
