RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, November 5 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Two juvenile peregrine falcons sold for a combined SAR277,000 ($73,867) during the 18th night of Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Falcons Auction 2026, which continues until November 30, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The highest-priced bird, captured in Al-Shabaan, south of Umluj, fetched SAR190,000 after bidding opened at SAR60,000.

A second juvenile peregrine, captured in Al-Dabdaba, was sold for SAR87,000.

The auction is restricted to juvenile migratory peregrine falcons captured within Saudi Arabia, with adult peregrines and saker falcons excluded under rules intended to support the sustainability of wild falcon populations.

Organised by the National Center for Wildlife, the auction provides a regulated market for falcons captured in the Kingdom, where falconry remains an established part of the country's cultural heritage.

The 2026 auction is scheduled to continue through November 30.
