Saudi Arabia’s Ithra Announces Winter Cultural Events in Al-Khobar

DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia, November 5 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) has announced a series of cultural events in the Eastern Region, beginning alongside the opening of Khobar Season on November 13, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Ithra Winter 2026 initiative, organised in cooperation with the Sharqia Development Authority and the Saudi Tourism Authority, will include live performances, maritime displays and cultural activities at several locations in Al-Khobar.
The opening events at the Khobar Sea Front will feature boat shows, performances by fishermen, poetry recitals and the traditional Saudi Ardah dance, alongside visual storytelling and lighting displays.
A separate series of cultural activities will take place at Dhahran Expo in Al-Khobar, Ithra said.
The initiative forms part of cooperation between cultural and tourism authorities to expand visitor activities and promote destinations across Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Region.
Ithra said the events would combine cultural traditions with contemporary artistic presentations, drawing on the region’s maritime heritage and local performing arts.
The programme will coincide with Khobar Season, which opens on Friday, November 13, as part of the region’s winter calendar of cultural and tourism events.
