KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia inaugurated its pavilion as Guest of Honor at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair 2026, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The fair runs from May 29 to June 7 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur.
The Kingdom’s pavilion presents Saudi Arabia’s cultural and literary landscape through panel discussions, poetry evenings, live performing arts, manuscripts, Saudi publications, heritage replicas, handicrafts, traditional musical instruments, fashion and film.
The pavilion also offers visitors a traditional Saudi Majlis experience, which is registered on UNESCO’s Intangible Heritage List.
Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission CEO Abdullatif Abdulaziz Al Wasel said Saudi Arabia’s selection as Guest of Honor reflected strong cultural relations between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
He said the participation offered an opportunity to introduce Malaysian and Asian audiences to the diversity of Saudi culture.
The commission is leading Saudi Arabia’s participation through a cultural and literary delegation that includes entities from the Ministry of Culture ecosystem and other national bodies.
