Riyadh, September 9, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) released its fall season climate outlook covering September to November 2025, forecasting above-average rainfall and higher-than-normal surface temperatures across much of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
According to the report, September is expected to see particularly heavy rainfall, with extremely heavy showers forecast in Jazan, central and western Aseer, and western Najran. Heavy rain is also expected in Al-Baha, southern Makkah and its highlands, southern and western Madinah, and the southern Eastern Region.
In November, rainfall is projected to remain above average in Jazan, southern and central Aseer, northern Makkah, and southern Madinah.
The NCM added that surface temperatures are likely to rise above seasonal norms in most regions, with a 70% probability of occurrence. The largest increases—around 0.8°C—are expected in Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Madinah, Hail, the Northern Borders, and southeastern Eastern Region. Other regions are forecast to experience milder increases, while temperatures in Al-Baha, Aseer, Jazan, and parts of Najran, Makkah, and Riyadh are expected to remain near normal.
