Princess Sarah bint Bandar meets Oman agriculture minister in Muscat on dates sector cooperation

MUSCAT, February 4, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Princess Sarah bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz, executive director of the International Dates Council, met Omani Minister of Agricultural, Fisheries and Water Resources Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al-Habsi in Muscat on Wednesday.

The meeting reviewed cooperation in the dates sector and discussed coordination frameworks aimed at increasing added value and improving the competitiveness of dates in regional and international markets, alongside the council’s role in knowledge-building and expertise exchange among member states.

The talks also included a presentation on Oman’s dates sector, covering key indicators and development trends, as well as preparations for Oman’s organisation of the Fourth International Dates and Honey Exhibition in Nizwa, designated Arab Capital of Dates 2026.
