RIYADH, November 4 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Misk Art Institute, an initiative of the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk Foundation), will open the ‘Art Across the Arabian Gulf’ exhibition tomorrow at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arts Hall in Riyadh.

The exhibition brings together more than 150 artworks by over 70 artists, charting the cultural evolution of the Gulf region during a transformative historical period. It will run until March 31, 2026.

The showcase is structured around five main themes: cultural heritage and development, seafarer heritage, resilience, abstraction and textual expression, and materiality and experimentation. The works reflect how visual languages and artistic identities were shaped by the region’s social, economic, and cultural transitions.

The exhibition presents rare works spanning five decades, from the pre-oil era to the rise of urbanization, highlighting shared symbols such as maritime trade, pearl diving, and cultural migration.

The Misk Art Institute said the exhibition reaffirms its commitment to making art accessible and inclusive while highlighting the role of Saudi artists within the global cultural landscape.
