Louvre Abu Dhabi Expands Summer Programme With Interactive Art and Cultural Experiences

ABU DHABI, July 23, Saudi Arabia Breaking News – Louvre Abu Dhabi is offering a two-month summer programme combining exhibitions, workshops, cinema, guided tours and digital experiences for children, families and adult visitors.
Running throughout July and August, the programme is led by “Board Game Adventure,” a new interactive exhibition at the Children’s Museum exploring how games have developed across cultures and historical periods.
Chess, ludo, carrom and mancala are among the games featured through objects from Louvre Abu Dhabi’s collection and artefacts borrowed from international museums.
A related summer camp will give children the opportunity to create their own games while learning about traditions from different civilizations. The activities are designed around teamwork, innovation and critical thinking.
Louvre Abu Dhabi is also participating in the “Our Story” summer camp, a joint initiative linking the museum with the Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum in the Saadiyat Cultural District. The programme brings nature, history, art and innovation together in a single educational experience.
The museum’s new “Art and Film” family event will present international films connected to themes and works in its collection. Guided visits and storytelling tours will introduce families and younger audiences to major artworks and recent discoveries through interactive narratives.
Among the programme’s sensory experiences is “Scent of Art,” which uses specially created fragrances to interpret selected works and offer visitors another way to engage with the collection.
Adults can join drawing workshops, while families can take part in free weekend art activities. Digital programming includes the children’s game “Secret of the Dome’s Stars” and “Quantum Dome Project,” a group virtual reality experience exploring different historical civilizations.
