RIYADH, March 8, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Kuwait’s Interior Ministry said two officers were killed while performing their duties as the country faced missile and drone attacks.
The ministry identified the officers as Lt. Col. Abdullah Imad Al-Sharrah and Capt. Fahd Abdulaziz Al-Majmoud.
Authorities did not provide further details about the circumstances of their deaths.
The announcement came as Kuwait’s air defense systems intercepted drones and missiles that had breached the country’s airspace.
Kuwait’s military also said a wave of drones targeted fuel storage facilities at Kuwait International Airport on Sunday, while debris from intercepted aerial threats damaged some civilian infrastructure.
State media earlier reported that the headquarters of the Public Institution for Social Security in Kuwait City had been struck in a drone attack.
The two officers are among the latest casualties reported in Kuwait since the conflict involving Iran began on February 28.
