Riyadh, Sept 1 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – King Salman Park in Riyadh continues its development, expanding green spaces and introducing new technologies as part of its transformation into one of the world’s largest urban parks.
The project has adopted 3D printing technology to build service units across the park, including kiosks, rest areas, and public facilities. The use of 3D printing is aimed at accelerating construction while maintaining high-quality standards and supporting the park’s sustainability goals.
The park features a series of sub-gardens designed with distinctive trees and plants, connecting to the central forest and offering diverse visitor experiences. An arts complex, described as an open-air museum, integrates artworks with natural landscapes, lakes, and suspension bridges that link different zones and provide panoramic views.
A visitor nursery covering 7,800 square meters has been established to support biodiversity. It contains around 82,500 trees and shrubs of local and adaptive species, contributing to the park’s environmental and educational role.
Eight parking facilities are also being developed as part of the integrated design, incorporating green landscaping and innovative building techniques. These structures serve both as entry points and extensions of the park experience, reinforcing its identity as a model for sustainable urban development.
