Israeli strike hits health center in south Lebanon, 12 medics killed

Riyadh, March 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — An Israeli strike hit a health care center in the village of Burj Qalaouiyah in Lebanon’s Bint Jbeil district, killing 12 doctors, paramedics and nurses who were on duty, Lebanon’s health ministry said.

The death toll was preliminary as rescue teams continued searching for missing people, the ministry said.

In a separate incident hours earlier, another Israeli strike on the southern village of Souaneh killed two paramedics and wounded five others when it hit a paramedic center, according to the ministry.

Lebanon’s health ministry condemned the attacks and said they represented continued violence against health workers.

Israeli strikes have killed 18 paramedics among the 773 people reported killed in Lebanon since fighting between Hezbollah and Israel reignited on March 2, the ministry said.
