FII PRIORITY Europe 2026 Concludes in Rome With Focus on Capital, AI and Institutional Reform

RIYADH, June 20 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - FII PRIORITY Europe 2026 concluded in Rome with a speech by FII Institute CEO Princess Dr. Maha bint Mishari bin Abdulaziz, marking her first plenary address to the summit since assuming the role, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Princess Dr. Maha called on governments, investors and business leaders to treat the frameworks and roadmaps developed during the two-day summit as commitments to turn capital into action and action into measurable impact.

The summit discussed autonomous systems and Europe’s ability to become a technology builder and creator in the next phase of innovation.

Sessions also addressed the quality of institutions, the flow of long-term capital and the need for structural reforms supported by independence in law enforcement.

The summit examined how spending commitments can be converted into operational capabilities, with a focus on artificial intelligence and the need to move beyond regulation toward ownership of underlying infrastructure.

Participants highlighted the importance of investing in AI and treating chips, compute, energy and data infrastructure as critical national assets.

The summit also discussed recommendations to reform Europe’s energy market, redefine competition policy to allow globally scaled companies to form, redirect defence spending toward dual-use research and improve the implementation of policy roadmaps.

FII PRIORITY Europe 2026 concluded with recommendations including shorter defence procurement timelines, full control over the integrated AI stack, investment anchored in independent institutions and regulations designed to support growth and implementation.
