AlUla’s Wadi AlFann project aims to create permanent contemporary art destination

AlUla, January 31, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Wadi AlFann is a cultural project being developed in AlUla to transform a large desert landscape into a permanent contemporary art destination through site-specific installations integrated into the natural topography.

The project is designed as an open-air museum intended to reflect the valley’s geological setting and human history.

A delegation of arts specialists and media representatives recently toured the site to review the project’s phased vision, according to the project description.

The project is being developed under sustainability principles and is expected to host works by world-renowned artists drawing direct inspiration from the surrounding environment.

The site is currently closed to the public, with development planned to proceed gradually as the project moves toward its long-term vision, it said.
