Riyadh, December 8, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – AlUla has been designated the World’s Leading Cultural Tourism Project 2025 at the World Travel Awards, further strengthening its position as a global destination for culture, heritage, exploration, and discovery.
The recognition — regarded as the highest distinction in the travel and tourism industry — follows AlUla receiving the largest number of votes from international experts, senior executives, specialist travel buyers, leading tour operators, and accredited travel agents.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards honor excellence across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors and are recognized as a benchmark of industry achievement. Categories span hotels, airlines, destinations, and travel experiences.
This latest global award follows several regional recognitions for AlUla, which was recently named Middle East's Leading Cultural Tourism Project 2025, Middle East's Leading Festival and Event Destination 2025, and Saudi Arabia's Leading Cultural Tourism Project 2025 at the regional World Travel Awards ceremony.
