Three Falcons Sell for SAR310,000 at Saudi Arabia’s National Falcons Auction

RIYADH, November 7, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Three falcons sold for a combined SAR310,000 ($82,667) during the 19th night of Saudi Arabia's National Center for Falcons Auction 2026, which continues until November 30, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The three young peregrine falcons fetched SAR102,000, SAR102,000 and SAR106,000 respectively, with bidding on each bird opening at SAR50,000.

The auction, held in Malham north of Riyadh, brings together falcon catchers and buyers during the Kingdom's annual two-month falcon trapping season.

Organizers continue to accept locally captured young migratory peregrine falcons, while adult peregrines and saker falcons are excluded from the auction as part of measures intended to preserve their populations.

The National Center for Falcons provides accommodation and transportation for falcon catchers, with participants presenting their birds at live competitive auctions broadcast on television and social media platforms.

The auction recorded SAR3.558 million in sales during October across 14 bidding sessions, according to figures previously released by SPA.

The 2026 auction season is scheduled to conclude on November 30.
