Al-Huwayett Program launches in Diriyah’s Adhuwaihrah District as part of Diriyah Season 25/26

RIYADH, Dec. 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Al-Huwayett Program was launched on Friday in the historic Adhuwaihrah District as part of the Diriyah Season 25/26 programs, organizers said.

Located in one of Diriyah’s most prominent heritage districts, Adhuwaihrah is known for its cultural and educational character and has played a key role in shaping Diriyah’s urban landscape since its earliest days.

The program, which welcomes visitors daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., aims to connect younger generations with Diriyah’s values and traditions through cultural and entertainment experiences presented in an educational and interactive format. Organizers said the activities are designed to strengthen family bonds by offering experiences suitable for all age groups.

Adhuwaihrah District is regarded as a model of harmony between education and community engagement. Its landmarks and mosques, including the historic Adhuwaihrah Mosque, reflect the district’s role in preserving authentic Najdi heritage. The Al-Huwayett Program draws inspiration from the area’s longstanding association with education and community life.

The program features five interactive zones designed to reflect stages of life in Diriyah. These include “Family Alley,” an open space for play and relaxation, and “Al-Mawten” (Homeland), where children are introduced to decision-making and Najdi-style homebuilding.

Other zones include “Al-Faydah” (Growth Oasis), which offers agricultural-themed activities focused on planting, caring for palm trees and learning about local animals, and “Al-Nahdah” (Community and Trade), which presents traditional trade and daily life through interactive experiences. The journey concludes with “Al-Hisn” (Strength and Unity), an interactive maze designed to encourage teamwork and problem-solving.

Organizers said the program integrates architectural elements inspired by Diriyah’s identity, supported by sound and light displays to enhance the visitor experience.

The Al-Huwayett Program aims to raise awareness of Diriyah as a cultural and tourism destination while reinforcing the role of Adhuwaihrah District as a living heritage site within a sustainable framework that brings together culture, environment and community.

Diriyah Season 25/26 forms part of the strategy of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, which seeks to position Diriyah as a global cultural destination offering diverse experiences, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
