Historic Irqah Village Highlights Najdi Heritage in Riyadh

RIYADH, August 24 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Irqah village, one of the oldest villages in the Riyadh Region, is drawing visitors to a heritage setting shaped by more than a thousand years of history.
The village was once an agricultural center, with mud-brick houses, historic mosques, farms and water sources forming part of its architectural and social identity.
At the center of the historic village, Bayt Isa offers visitors a look at traditional Najdi life through majlis spaces, cafés, heritage pathways, courtyards and rooftops.
Traditional crafts are also part of the visitor experience, with workshops presenting skills passed down through generations and local outlets displaying work produced by artisans.
The village has welcomed more than 15,000 visitors since opening and has involved more than 50 families working in cottage industries.
More than 20 production companies have also used the site for filming, while its digital content has generated more than three million views and interactions.
