Washington, March 12, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran resumed nuclear-related activities after earlier strikes carried out by the United States and Israel last summer against Iran’s nuclear program.

Trump said those strikes had destroyed Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

“We obliterated it. They don’t have nuclear potential,” Trump said.

However, he added that Iran later restarted its activities.

“That’s why we got to finish it. We don’t want to go back every two years,” he said.

Trump and members of his administration have previously argued that Iran was weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon, a claim cited to justify the strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, despite earlier statements that the program had been destroyed.
