Thunderstorms Forecast Over Parts of Saudi Highlands

RIYADH, June 9 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Thunderstorms may occur over parts of the highlands of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha and Makkah regions, according to the National Center for Meteorology.
Gusty winds are expected in parts of those regions, as well as parts of Madinah, Riyadh, Al-Jouf and Northern Borders regions.
Parts of the Eastern Region are expected to record hot to very hot weather.
Over the Red Sea, winds will be northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to westerly in the southern part, at speeds of 16 to 38 kilometers per hour.
Waves in the Red Sea are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with relatively calm conditions.
In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to northerly in the northern and central parts, and westerly to southwesterly in the southern part, at speeds of 15 to 45 kilometers per hour.
Waves in the Arabian Gulf are expected to range from half a meter to two meters, with conditions from calm to choppy.
