Three Saudis Killed in Two Attacks on Riyadh Airport, Aviation Authority Says

RIYADH, October 9 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Three Saudi nationals were killed and several citizens and residents of different nationalities were injured in two attacks on King Khalid International Airport on Thursday, October 8, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said on Friday.
Airport operations have resumed and air traffic has returned to normal, the authority said. It is continuing to assess the damage in coordination with the relevant security authorities and take measures to protect passengers, staff and civil aviation.
The first attack targeted airport facilities, while the second targeted a Saudia aircraft, according to the authority.
The injured were taken immediately to hospital, with injuries ranging from minor to severe. Emergency teams and the relevant authorities responded to both attacks as soon as they occurred, following established procedures and plans. The attacks also caused material damage.
