Saudi Team Lynx Wins STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore

SINGAPORE, October 8 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Lynx, a Saudi team from Dhahran, took first place at the Aramco STEM Racing World Finals in Singapore, where Saudi teams also won awards for team identity and project management and the Knockout Competition title, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The finals ran from September 29 to October 7, 2026. Lynx received the Team Identity Award, while Baz, from Jeddah, won the Best Application of Project Management Award and the Knockout Competition.
The Saudi delegation trained for eight months under 36 mentors before the finals. The competition challenges participants to design, build and optimize functional model racing vehicles, applying science, technology, engineering and mathematics to their performance.
Lynx and Baz qualified through a national competition in June alongside Anaq, from Madinah, and Drein, from Al-Ahsa. The four were selected from 20 teams.
“Only five years after Saudi teams first joined the competition, this historic victory marks an incredible milestone and the culmination of their journey to the world stage,” said Ithra Programs Manager Farah Abushullaih.
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, known as Ithra, supports Saudi participation in STEM Racing. The center is an Aramco initiative.
Ithra also opened registration for the sixth cycle of STEM Racing KSA, with training scheduled to begin in December 2026.
