RIYADH, May 7 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, known as Ithra, has supported Saudi students through STEM Racing KSA, an applied educational program combining design, engineering and competition, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The program, formerly known as Formula 1 in Schools, provides students with practical experience in designing and building miniature engineering cars.
SPA highlighted the experience of 19-year-old Saudi student Mohammed Al Masbah, who joined STEM Racing KSA as a participant before advancing within the program’s engineering and innovation ecosystem.
Al Masbah later enrolled at New York University to study electrical and computer engineering and joined the university’s NYU Motorsports Formula SAE & Baja team.
In 2026, he took part in the United States as an organizing member of the STEM Racing KSA national competition.
He was also invited to serve as a judge at the global competition in Singapore, marking his transition from competitor to contributor in an international innovation platform.
