Riyadh, October 27, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia–based artificial intelligence startup Humain, backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), plans to launch a new AI-driven computer operating system this week that enables users to interact with computers through natural speech, the company said on Monday.
The new product, named Humain One, allows users to speak their intent instead of navigating icons or menus — an approach the company sees as a potential alternative to traditional operating systems such as Microsoft Windows or Apple’s macOS, which have dominated personal computing since the 1980s.
“Rather than looking at icons where you click for discrete applications, now you simply speak your intent,” CEO Tareq Amin said during the Fortune Global Forum in Riyadh.
Humain aims to be the first company worldwide to officially launch such a conversational system, according to a company spokesperson.
Founded in May 2025 and chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Humain develops AI products and infrastructure, including data centers, cloud computing capabilities, and advanced AI models designed to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s digital economy.
The spokesperson added that Humain began developing its new operating system shortly after its establishment and has been testing it internally to manage payroll and human resources operations.
Amin also said the company plans to build around six gigawatts of data center capacity, without specifying locations.
