Saudi interior ministry says Hajj permits required to enter Makkah, holy sites

RIYADH, May 21 — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior said permits must be presented to security personnel for entry into or presence in Makkah and the holy sites during the Hajj season, SPA reported.

The ministry said permits can be displayed through the Tawakkalna application, while their validity can be verified through the Midan application.

The ministry urged the public to comply with Hajj regulations and instructions aimed at ensuring the safety and security of pilgrims.

It also called on the public to report violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and 999 in other regions of the kingdom.
