Saudi Foreign Minister Joins Regional Quartet Talks on Reducing Tensions
NEW YORK, September 22, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the sixth meeting of the Regional Quartet foreign ministers in New York on Monday.
The meeting brought together the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt and Türkiye to discuss regional developments and efforts to reduce tensions.
Pakistan was represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Egypt by Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Türkiye by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
The ministers examined ways to strengthen coordination and cooperation among the four countries in response to current developments, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
They stressed the importance of intensifying diplomatic efforts to contain the effects of regional crises and preserve security and stability.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the High-level Week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
