ST. PETERSBURG, June 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Saudi Food and Drug Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with Russia’s State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices on the sidelines of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.


The agreement was signed in the presence of Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman.


SFDA Vice President for Operations Sami AlSager signed the memorandum on behalf of the authority, while Vladislav Shestakov, Director of the State Institute of Drugs and Good Practices, signed on behalf of the Russian side.


The memorandum covers cooperation and exchange of expertise on regulations and technical systems related to good manufacturing practices, quality management systems for pharmaceutical inspections and training of specialized personnel.


It also includes the exchange of regulatory and supervisory best practices related to pharmaceutical products.


The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum brings together officials, decision-makers and representatives of major companies and institutions to discuss economic and development issues and international cooperation.
